Invite people over for a Sandals & Sangria party or an Ice Cream Social while also educating them about how to reduce the use of chemicals in their cleaning and personal care. Pick your theme or make one up and I'll help you put it together! We'll have lots of fun but keep it simple! Plus earn a free mop if you host in July!

You won't believe that we have an HP Deskjet 960 that has been faithful for over 10 years. It still prints just fine, slow, but fine :) There have been too many occasions recently where a scanner/copier would be very convenient, so we decided to break down and buy a new printer. If you know me, you know I research everything before I buy it. And surprisingly it didn't take long to find a reasonably priced all-in-one printer with rave reviews. We bought the Brother MFC-J410W at Office Max for $70! The ink is $56 for all four colors, but you only replace the color that is low, instead of the whole thing at once. I haven't used it much yet, so I'll let you know the quality of the print/scan/copy/fax later.
Norwex has a great product manual that they sent to me when I signed up to sell Norwex. The problem is that they only send it on a CD, so I don't have a manual to bring to parties and use to answer questions. The local print shops charges almost $50 to get the manual printed and bound. So I started doing some searching online and found Moxicopy.
I don't know the quality, but they claim to have some pretty big clients, including Kraft Foods, AT&T, Boy & Girl Scouts and St. Jude's Children's hospital, just to name a few. So I'm going to assume the quality is good. And for $10 (before shipping) I can get the product manual printed and bound! It will be spiral bound with a clear plastic cover and a black plastic back! So if you own a business or are ever looking for a cheap place to get something printed, check out moxicopy.com. I'll let you know if I like the results or not. I am doing a party in June and the hostess is my good friend Jenny, who grew up down the road from me in Wisconsin. We now live down the road from each other in Minnesota and do our best to represent the state next door. June is dairy month and Jenny wants to have a dairy themed party, complete with Spotted Cow Farmhouse Ale and real Wisconsin cheese. To help instill the theme with the guests, I created the invite above to email to her guests.
I want your Norwex party with me to be a blast, like any other time you invite a bunch of friends into your home. If that means creating a theme to center the party around, I'll do everything I can to help accomplish that. We all want your guests to feel comfortable and I think this is a great way to let them know right off the bat that this is more than just a Norwex party, it's time to have a good time! One thing I have learned through "stretching myself too thin" in the past, is to take control of my schedule. I want to be in control of my business, not vice versa. So I have blocked out the following dates to hold parties and I am including incentives. The sooner you book a party, the more you save! Email me to schedule a party.
Also, ask me about themed party ideas including Fritos & Flip-Flops, Sandals & Sangria, Spa Party, Wine & Cheese, Mexican Fiesta and Ice Cream Social. And remember, all of this is on top of the already outstanding 4-Star Hosting Plan that Norwex offers. Receive 15% off any one item when you book on one of these dates*: August 1 & 5 Other open dates: August 10, 16, 22, & 25 September 1, 6, 9, 15, 21, 26 *All party locations must be within one hour drive time of Fridley, MN Thank you to EVERYONE who was able to participate in my first Norwex party. I am truly honored to have all of you supporting me on this new journey.
Because I acted as the Host AND the Consultant for this party, Norwex rewards me two-fold! So I really have a good start on getting set-up to have my own parties. I'll break it down for you: As a Hostess I received: • 1 Enviro Cloth (antibac), 1 Body Pack (antibac), and 1 Car Cloth because I had 10-12 buying guests. • 10% of total customer sales in free products because I had $250-$749.99 in customer sales. With that, I purchased a Rubber Brush, Cleaning Paste, Dryer Balls, and Spirinetts. • 1 Window Cloth because I had one booking from my party. (Hostesses receive 1 Window Cloth for each booking.) • The special for the month of May for having over $500 in sales and at least one booking. From this special I recieved a: Dusting Mitt, Washing Net, Micro Hand Pad, Enviro Cloth (antibac), Window Cloth (antibac), Kitchen Cloth (antibac) Blue, Dishwashing Liquid, and Hand Cream! Everything I've listed so far is part of Norwex's 4 Star Hosting Plan. ANYONE hosting a party could have received everything mentioned above, or a little less or more, depending on the results of the party. As a Consultant I received: • Over $200 in my pocket from commission (35%). • $150 shopping spree because I had a party that made more than $325 in the same month I signed up for Norwex. I'll use that to buy more product to either demonstrate or stock up for inventory. I have gotten through my greatest anxiety so far, which was hosting my first party. I could not have done it without all of my loving friends standing behind me. The order is placed and my fear is behind me. I am ready to start selling Norwex. Let me know if you want to book a party! Pinch me. This is really happening! I just ordered my supplies to do parties...the boring supplies like order forms and such. It cost me $113 after tax and shipping and that should get me through my first 12 parties. Here is the list of stuff I ordered, for the reference of other new recruits: Update: I've been at this now for seven months and would change some things on this list.
I wouldn't order the bookmarks. I am putting them in hostess packets right now but they're not really necessary. I do not make folders for guests at parties. I put an order form and the monthly customer specials (printed in text form from the CS site) inside the catalog. I put a post it on the front of the catalog for them to take notes on. Easy peasy and doesn't take up a bunch of space in my bag!!! I'm debating whether or not I want to re-order the info pads. Not the most informative and don't include all of the products. Printing off the product manual pages for the products people buy would be much more effective and REALLY show them how the product can be used. Invitation postcards. No one has done these in the 7 months I've been selling. I designed my own for one party. It might be nice just to have one pack on hand IN CASE someone wants you to send them out. But don't expect to use them. To see pictures of some of the items, log into the Norwex CS site. Go to Product Images & logos > Supply Requisition Images. I designed my business card. Just waiting to hear back from corporate to approve the design and I'll get them ordered. Yippee! Yes, I'm excited about a business card, I'm a nerd :)
Ask me at any other point in my life if I would ever make money off of selling anything and I would have laughed at you. I can't stand it when people are trying to sell me something that I don't think I need, and in my experience with sales people, that's usually what they are doing. I just never saw myself selling anything, until I went to my first Norwex party five years ago.
I'm a simple person. I don't use fancy things. In fact I recently took five car-loads of stuff to Goodwill because I realized I'm just not a fancy person and I don't need all this fancy stuff. I'm good with simple. That's why home parties usually turn me off. I have a hard time rationalizing spending "that kind of money" on something I could get at Kohl's. Sure, it might not be fancy if I buy it at Kohl's, but like I said, I don't need fancy. When I went to that Norwex party five years ago, I told my husband Emil that I wouldn't buy anything. HA! When the party started, I was skeptical as usual when approaching a home party. But my curiosity perked when I realized that this product was honestly cleaning with only water. Now if that isn't simple, I don't know how cleaning could ever be simple. Needless to say, I didn't keep my promise to Emil. I bought the Basic Microfiber Package, the Spirisponge and the Spirinetts. (And just for the record, I still use the same microfiber with the same results today!) It wasn't until a few years later, in 2009, that I was invited to another Norwex party. Then again, just a few months ago, I was invited to two more. After the last party I attended, I decided I needed to let my friends and family know about this revolutionary idea of cleaning with only water. I was going to accomplish that by having a party of course :) In order to make sure I reached out to as many people as I know as possible, I decided to make a slideshow describing the product. This way I could share it with people who lived too far away to attend a party at my house, which includes ALL of my family. When I finished the slideshow and thought about it for a few weeks, I realized that I might as well just try to sell it myself. After all, I was basically selling it by creating the slideshow. The problem with me moving forward to sell it myself was finding someone to be my sponsor (leader.) I have a dear friend who just started selling it, but her life has been very chaotic lately and she has taken a break from Norwex. I didn't want to just pull a name from a hat and ask that person to be my sponsor. I wanted to make sure I had a solid leader. Soon after deciding that I wanted to sell Norwex, Emil and I attended a "Munchkin Market" kid sale at the MN State Fairgrounds. Sandie Cagaoan had a Norwex table set up near the check-out area. I consider myself a very good judge of character, and after speaking with her for only moments, I knew she cared and rocked at what she did. Then she told me her team meets just down the road from where I live and I KNEW this was the start of my Norwex journey. That brings us to now. Stay tuned to follow me on my journey and learn the latest about Norwex. |
