If you have ever attended a home party, in most cases you have played a game where the winner gets a prize. My issue with the game is that it takes up precious time that could be used to answer peoples' questions. My presentation, without questions, is about 30 minutes. But there are ALWAYS questions and the presentation turns into about an hour, without playing a game. It's not a boring hour, it's a conversation. But to ask people to sit for any longer than that, even if it is interesting, is asking a lot, in my opinion.
Instead of investing my time & money into games, I add incentives for people to book a party. Anyone who books a party gets 35% - 50% off any item if they pick one of my preferred dates. And as soon as I have sample bottles, they will also receive a gift bucket with samples of odor eliminator, laundry soap, descaler, or anything else I can divide into the bottles.
