Another policy is that the sender of the email in the "From:" field cannot contain the word Norwex. For example, you cannot send email as "Lindsey's Norwex."
This blog post is intended to help other Norwex consultants change email addresses as seamlessly as possible. I have written this with the assumption that you will create your new email address using the same provider you currently use. If you are switching to a different provider and need help, just email me and I'll do what I can to help.
Following these instructions will allow you to start giving customers your new email address while also making sure those with your old email address can still contact you. This is to help eliminate the hassle of making sure everyone has your new email. It will also allow you to use up any business cards so you don't have to throw them away just because the email address is wrong.
Let's get started!
Scroll down to your email provider. If your provider is not listed and you have questions about how to make this a smooth transition, email me and I will do what I can to help you.
Gmail
First you are going to want to create a new Gmail account.
Then log into your old account and follow these instructions for forwarding the mail from your old address to your new address. Once you have completed the steps, any email that is sent to your old address will show up in your new account's inbox.
As a convenience, you will want to log in to your old address and follow these instructions in order to grant access from your new address. This way you will be able to switch between your new and old addresses in order to easily access old emails. You can switch accounts with a couple clicks, by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner of Gmail and going to "Switch Accounts" and selecting your old account name.
Yahoo!
It seems the easiest way to change your email address without causing confusion is to log-in to your old email account and make an additional email address by following these steps. This extra email address is not a separate Yahoo! Mail account. It's just another email address you can use to send and receive emails with your existing account.
Hotmail or Live
Create a new Hotmail or Live email address. Then log in to your old account and click the arrow next to your name in the upper right hand corner. Click on Options > Mail (located in left-hand column) > Email Forwarding (Under Managing Your Account). Fill out the form and click Save.
You should continue to log in to your old email address periodically to ensure the account does not get deleted due to inactivity.
AOL
Create a new email address. Then follow these directions in order to use AOL Easy Transfer to forward any emails sent to your old address, to your new address.
